ESO College Council
We are thrilled to announce the results of the ESO College Council elections!
Congratulations to the eight members elected to the Council, who will serve in this vital role for the next two years. The election saw an impressive turnout of 52.35%, reflecting the strong engagement of our members in shaping the future of the College.
The newly elected Council members are:
- Justyna Bochenek-Cibor (Poland)
- Eduard-Alexandru Bonci (Romania)
- Silvia Brotea-Mosoiu (Romania)
- Mohamed Emam Sobeih (Egypt)
- Milos Grujic (Serbia)
- Lazaros Papadopoulos (Greece)
- Panagiotis Vlachostergios (Greece)
- Simona Ruxandra Volovat (Romania)
We are very excited to begin this journey together and look forward to working with the newly elected Council to continue driving the College forward.

What is the Council?
The Council is a group of members elected by their peers to represent the College's membership and assist in planning and developing activities. There are 8 seats available on the Council.
What Does the Role Involve?
The term of office on the College Council will last 2 years (Jan 2025 – Dec 2026).
- Meetings:
- The Council will meet in-person once a year (first meeting 25 January 2025 in Milan).
- There will also be 4 online meetings during the first year, with the frequency reviewed before the second year.
- Responsibilities:
- College Governance: Help develop the College's strategy and structure. Assess the current system and suggest improvements.
- College Development: Identify and help develop new programs, resources, and initiatives.
- Working Groups: Help us create and run specific working groups to drive growth, such as:
- Career Resources working group
- Education working group
- Strategy working group
- ESO College Convention: Assist in organizing a 2025 networking convention, enabling members to meet, exchange ideas, and network.
- Regional Networking Events: Explore and help organize smaller networking events within different regions to build valuable career networks.
